10:03 a.m.: fraud, Kellogg Street, a caller reports a cable television account which was opened in his name for service at a Springfield address has an outstanding balance, the responding officer reports the complaint said that he did not open the account, the case was referred to the Detective Bureau;
10:58 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Mechanic Street, a community policing officer reports he located two recently unregistered vehicles at a Mechanic Street address and advised both owners of the relevant city ordinances, the owners each assured the officer that the issue of their unregistered vehicles will be addressed promptly;
2:43 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, a resident came to the station to complain that items were stolen from her at a Main Street supermarket, the responding officer reports the woman said that the items had been stolen from her purse while shopping in the store on April 9, the case remains under investigation;
2:54 p.m.: animal complaint, Bates Street, a caller reports a dog bit his child breaking the skin, the caller said that no ambulance was needed as he will be taking the child for medical treatment, the responding officer reports the dog was found to be up-to-date with require vaccinations and was quarantined;
3:35 p.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, a woman came to the shelter to surrender a dog found running loose;
9:45 p.m.: noise complaint, Mechanic Street, a caller reports loud music has been blaring from an apartment since 6 p.m. and there has been no response to knocking on the door, the woman said she has young children trying to sleep, the responding officer reports he found the resident at an Elm Street convenience store who said that he had been listening to a baseball game and stormed out of his home because his team was losing, the man was provided a courtesy transport to his home so he could turn off his radio.
