10:59 a.m.: assist citizen, Lincoln Street, a caller reports that her cousin has her vehicle but since her cousin’s license had been suspended she asks that police secure the keys to the vehicle and hold them at the station until she can collect them there, the responding officer reports the vehicle was secured and the keys were transported to the station;
11:59 a.m.: recovered motor vehicle, Powdermill Village, 126 Union St., a caller reports that the rental truck she reported stolen on Sunday may be at her residence, the responding officer reports he spoke with the caller’s former boyfriend who said that he had taken the truck, a criminal complaint for using a vehicle without authority was filed;
12:14 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a resident came to the station to report her purse was stolen at a Springfield Road department store the night before, the responding officer reports the victim said that her purse was stolen from her shopping cart while she was shopping in the store;
3:42 p.m.: larceny, Union Street, a detective reports that jewelry previously reported to have been stolen was found to have been sold in the city and was recovered;
8:33 p.m.: larceny, Hampden Street, a resident came to the station to report that a known person had stolen from him, the responding officer reports the man said that he had invited a new friend to his home and after she left he found that an envelope containing almost $200 which had been on his desk was missing;
8:49 a.m.: assist citizen, Franklin Street, a caller reports that she is concerned about her 14-year-old son who is alone with her husband at their Southwick home, Southwick police were asked to check on her family, the responding officer reports he spoke with the woman inside a licensed establishment and she acknowledged that she had consumed four large alcoholic beverages, the officer deemed the woman to be too intoxicated to care for herself and she was placed in protective custody.
