3:00 a.m.: larceny, Walmart, caller reports someone inside the store stole her purse and that Walmart security is in the process of detaining the suspect, when officers arrived, the caller told them she put the purse down in the store and went back to recover it, only to find it missing, six individuals in the store reported that they found the purse inside an item in the furniture section, with no money in it, the victim reported the purse had seven $20 bills, one $10 bill and three $1 bills, the six individuals who recovered the purse voluntarily emptied their pockets and none had the same amount of money, Walmart loss prevention stated they would be looking in surveillance video;
9:26 a.m.: accident/hit and run, Southwick Road, caller reports he just witnessed a vehicle with a female operator back up and strike another and leave the scene and described the vehicle to police, officers then stopped the suspect on West Silver Street and ordered them to follow them back to the scene;
9:51 a.m.: accident, East Main Street, caller reports being involved in an accident in the parking lot of Phipps Liquor Store, officers arrived and found a two car minor property damage crash, there were no injuries and no air bag deployment;
12:32 p.m.: burglary/breaking and entering, Wyben Road, caller reports someone may have broken into her home while she was out, adding that she noticed a window and air conditioner ajar in her basement when she went downstairs to water her plants, the caller reported that two ammunition containers full of collector coins worth about $2,000 were missing;
4:09 p.m.: trespassing, Sackett Street, caller reports three women on the roof of the Water Department Building, no one could be found when officer arrived on the scene;
4:50 p.m.: shoplifting, Springfield Road, a loss prevention officer at the Springfield Road Walmart called to report a man attempting to shoplift a pair of earbuds, officers arrived to find the suspect in custody, police then placed Adam Gilmore, 31, of 62 Pamona Street, Springfield, under arrest on charges of larceny by asportation and trespassing and transported him to headquarters;
6:44 p.m.: shoplifting, Springfield Road, a loss prevention officer at the Springfield Road Walmart reports trying to stop a patron suspected of shoplifting, an off-duty West Springfield police officer is on hand assisting, officers arrived arrived on the scene and found the suspect in front of Bertera Dodge, at which time the suspect denied shoplifting, officers then placed Angel Adorno, 31, of 148 Taylor Street, Springfield, under arrest on a charge of larceny over $250 and transported him to headquarters;
