12:54 a.m.: disturbance, Mechanic Street, a caller reports a possible college-aged party is making a lot of noise, the responding officer reports porch windows were found to be broken and an odor of marijuana was detected but no contraband was seized;
1:11 a.m.: city ordinance violation, Chapel Street, officers reports they investigated noise from two apartments of a Chapel Street house, a supervisory officer reports he confronted two college-aged youths leaving the address with backpack who answered “beer” when asked what was in their backpacks, both were found to be younger than the legal drinking age and the officer “requested” them to open their beer cans and dump the contents, the officer reports they “kindly obliged” and city ordinance violations were issued, officers at the same call issued another similar citation and about 75 people were dispersed from the house;
1:50 a.m.: disturbance, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he encountered a disturbance outside an Elm Street bar, additional officers responded, the officer reports a male party was attempting to incite patrons to fight, the officer found that the man had previously been served with a ‘No trespassing’ order, Ricardo R. Torres, 43, of 105 Union St., was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespass, another patron was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was placed in protective custody;
2:04 a.m.: assault, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he was approached by a man who said he had been punched by a woman, the complainant did not ask for police services but wanted the incident documented;
7:17 a.m.: vandalism, Woodcliff Drive at Salvatore Drive, a patrol officer reports he observed toilet paper in a tree at the entrance to Woodcliff Heights, the officer reports an inspection of the neighborhood did not reveal any additional similar vandalism;
1:24 p.m.: assist citizen, Main Street, a caller from a Main Street supermarket reports a customer’s purse was stolen, the caller said that the purse contained a recently purchased substantial money order, the responding officer reports that the customer told him she had found her intact purse in bushes near the entrance to the store;
4:56 p.m.: incapacitated person, Lindbergh Boulevard, a caller reports a woman fell off her bike and has a bloody face, the responding officer reports the woman was found at the Cross Street playground and deemed to be too intoxicated to care for herself, the woman became unruly when an ambulance arrived to transport her to hospital and kicked the officer, the woman was taken to hospital where she was treated and released, a criminal complaint was filed;
8:14 p.m.: assist other agency, Noble Hospital, 115 W. Silver St., a caller from the hospital requests assistance with an uncooperative patient, the responding officer reports a patient who had been treated could not find a ride home and became unruly when she was not allowed to walk home because she is legally blind, the responding officer reports the woman was calm upon his arrival and was provided a courtesy transport to her Elm Street home.
