Major crime and incident report

8:45 a.m.:
suspicious, CVS, 208 Elm St., CVS employee reported that someone called stating, “is there anyway to blow up this place?” and then the caller hung up, investigated;
10:34 a.m.: vandalism motor vehicle, Nook Cafe, Franklin St., woman reported that she noticed that her car was keyed and she believes it happened while she was at work last night;
11:02 a.m.: accident, 121 Main St. At 8 Cross St., man reported that a vehicle struck his vehicle and fled, police located offending vehicle;
12:30 p.m.: identity fraud, Western Ave., woman reported that someone opened a Verizon account with her information;
3:18 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southbound Routes 10 and 202, 44 Elm St., 1993 Honda Civic stopped and towed for expired registration sticker;
4:43 p.m.: accident, Westfield State University, Commuter lot, 577 Western Ave., 2003 Toyota Tacoma and 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse, no injuries, no tows;
6:10 p.m.: found property, Westfield Police Department, party brought in a wallet;
6:41 p.m.: accident, Park Square Townhouses, 140 Union St., man reported that a vehicle side-swiped his 1989 Toyota Corolla and took off his side view mirror, police located vehicle and charges of leaving the scene of property damage were sent via criminal complaint;
6:54 p.m.: larceny, Rental Property, Pochassic Street, woman reported that her roommate allegedly took some of her prescription medication;
7:09 p.m.: breaking and entering motor vehicle, YMCA of Westfield, 67 Court St., man reported that while he was in the YMCA his vehicle was entered and wallet was stolen;
10:16 p.m.: breaking and entering motor vehicle, Lozier Avenue, woman reported seeing someone try to enter her locked vehicle, entry was made and items stolen, K9 tracked suspect, case remains under investigation.
