Baloney Westfield State University, I have walked the Woodward track for many years between 9 and 11AM and have never, ever seen baseballs, softballs, weights or shot puts being tossed around. The most I have seen is one class that uses only the center court, teaching the students to play children games for future reference. And do you really think a few senior citizens, peacefully walking around the track threatens the safety of anyone, really! Seniors, exercise your rights to contact your state representatives and governors office and protest this selfish move by a state college supported in great part by taxpayer funds.

In Thursday’s paper, there was a photo shoot of the Westfield Middle School South’s winder concert. On the far right side, a picture of the audience. A great crowd to see the children perform. Look closely at the family in the front row. Shame on them!!! Really, did this man (who is most likely the father of one of the student musicians) need to be using his “smart” phone during the performance? Pretty “dumb” wouldn’t you say? Look even closer…and to his left is a female who is obviously also using her device during the performance. Those kids have been practicing for months for this night…too bad the phone was more important than what was happening on stage. So sad. I pray that the child who this family belongs to didn’t look up and see them engrossed in their “smart” phones.
