1:48 a.m.: disturbance, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he observed what appeared to be a large fight outside an Elm Street bar and arrived to see a female party punching a male party who was on the ground while 10-15 persons watched, the officer was obliged to physically separate the combatants, the male party said that he had asked the woman for a cigarette and she became abusive, the man said when he remonstrated with her she immediately started to punch him, the woman appeared to be highly intoxicated, Jenny C. Colon, 46, of 243 Elm St., was arrested for assault and battery and disorderly conduct, during the booking process she was found to be in possession of a bag of white powder and was also charged with possession of a Class B drug;
2:16 p.m.: assist citizen, Crown Street, a caller requests an officer to stand by and keep the peace as a relative collects belongings at her address, services rendered;
8:22 p.m.: breaking and entering, Springdale Road, a caller reports his home was broken into, the responding officer reports entry was made by breaking a basement window, the house was found to have been ransacked and a watch was stolen;
10:01 p.m.: parking complaint, a DPW employee requests assistance with a parked vehicle which is impeding snow removal efforts, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;

12:49 a.m.: incapacitated person, Hampden Street, a resident came to the station to report that a woman is lying in the middle of the roadway, the responding officer reports a thoroughly wet woman was found stumbling along the road, the woman was obviously highly intoxicated and was placed in protective custody, a male party came to the station about an hour later and asked to take custody of his friend saying that he had a vehicle to take her to her home in Palmer, the duty officer reports a routine check revealed that the man’s license to drive had been suspended and he did not have a vehicle under his control, the woman was not released;
9:46 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Powder Mill Village, 126 Union St., a traffic bureau officer reports he observed a parked vehicle with registration revoked for lack of insurance, the plates were seized and the owner was advised to tow the vehicle from the private property;
10:44 a.m.; arrest, Westfield Police Department, 15 Washington St., a resident came to the station to secure the release of his towed vehicle and a routine check revealed him to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, Matthew W. Phaneuf, 50, of 769 Worthington St., Springfield, was arrested on the warrant;
11:42 a.m.: breaking and entering, Lozier Avenue, a caller reports a break in to a house he is taking care of, the responding officer reports the caller said that he went to the property to shovel the driveway and observed tracks in the snow, the man said he found the rear door had been kicked in and the house had been searched, the caller said that jewelry was stolen;
4:43 p.m.: loitering, Half Mile Falls Park, a caller reports youths are riding snowboards on the fountains at the park, the responding officer reports he identified and spoke with three boys who agreed to find a more appropriate place to enjoy their toys;
7:35 p.m.: lost property, East Main Street, a resident came to the station to report that she had lost her wallet, the respond officer reports the woman said she believes she lost her wallet while leaving an East Main Street store but when she realized her loss and called the store she was advised that nobody had reported finding a wallet;
8:23 p.m.: breaking and entering, Bailey Drive, a caller reports she came home to find that her parent’s bedroom has been ransacked, the responding officer reports that jewelry and a handgun were stolen, a Southwick K-9 unit responded but the dog eventually lost the track;
9:33 p.m.: accident, Southampton Road, caller reports a roll-over crash, the responding officer reports an operator lost control while traveling on Southampton Road the car left the roadway, rolled on to its side and struck a utility pole, none of the three occupants suffered significant injury.
