2:09 p.m.: incapacitated person, Franklin Street, a caller reports a male party is passed out behind a building, the responding officer reports the man displayed the classic symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was placed in protective custody after he was unable to find anyone who would care for him;
3:14 p.m.; larceny, Broad Street, a caller requests to speak with an officer about a theft from a patient at a Broad Street nursing home, the responding officer reports a staffer introduced him to a patient who said that he was away from his room from 1-4 p.m. and returned to immediately notice that his property had been disturbed, the drawer of his nightstand was found to be partially open and $35 in cash was missing, the staffer said that the facility would conduct an in-house investigation and report the findings to police;
4:06 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol office reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance and it was towed to the police impound yard;
4:34 p.m.: traffic complaint, Southampton Road, a caller reports a cement block is in the breakdown lane of Southampton Road, the responding officer reports he was unable to remove the block and asked that the Massachusetts Highway Department be notified, the responding Mass Highway worker was also unable to move the block and summoned heavy equipment, the block was removed from the roadway at 5:46 p.m.;
5:03 p.m.: found property, City View Road, a caller reports a bicycle has been abandoned in a City View Road yard, the responding office reports the bike was transported to the station for safe keeping;
5:27 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a traffic bureau officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports he immediately detected an odor of marijuana and found that the vehicle’s registration was expired, a pre-tow inventory revealed a small plastic bag of marijuana and a marijuana grinder, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard and a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
5:28 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Main Street at Noble Street, a patrol office reports he encountered a motor vehicle with expired registration, the vehicle was towed;
9:14 p.m.: breaking and entering, Bristol Street, a caller reports his home was broken into and property was stolen, the responding officer reports the man said that he left his home about 7 a.m. and returned briefly at 11:30 a.m. but did not observe anything amiss, the man said when he came home about 9 p.m. he observed that a window in a door had been shattered and the door was ajar, the man found that jewelry boxes which had been stored in a closet or the basement were found in the kitchen and the basement door was ajar, the officer reports he was told that a string of pearls and other jewelry of lesser value was stolen along with some coins and more than $450 in cash, the resident said that his home was thoroughly searched noting that property in a crawl space and closets had been disturbed;
9:45 p.m.; motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a traffic enforcement officer requests a tow for a vehicle found to have registration revoked for lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard.
