Major crime and incident report

8:57 a.m.: Breaking and entering, motor vehicle. Prospect Street. Caller at location reported several vehicles entered overnight. Police investigated, found unlocked motor vehicle, nothing of value taken.

9:40 a.m.: Hit and run accident, U.S. Post Office, West Silver Street. Caller reported white van knocked over and broke a glass collection box. Vehicle left the scene in unknown direction. License plate number reported.

12:56 p.m.: Accident, Southwick Road. 911 caller reported 2004 Toyota Camry hit a post under overhang. Post was knocked over, no injuries reported.

1:10 p.m.: Accident, North Elm Street. Multiple callers reported a two-car motor vehicle accident. A 2016 Acura Rdx and a 1997 Toyota 4runner were involved. Injured party was reported. Dual response dispatched. According to police, one vehicle took a left-hand turn in front of oncoming traffic. One vehicles also struck a street sign which broke a window in a building. Two people were transported to Baystate Noble. Citation issued.

1:53 p.m.: Accident, Russell Road and Beckwith Avenue. Multiple callers report a car vs. pole accident with possible injuries. Dual response dispatched. A 2011 Nissan Versa was involved. According to police, the driver thought they may have blacked out. Police said there was damage to the vehicle’s windshield and front end. One person transported to Baystate Noble. G&E was notified.

2:03 p.m.: Accident, Main Street. A 2014 GMC Acadia and a 2014 Toyota Corolla were involved. According to police, vehicle traveling westbound stopped and was hit from behind. One person transported to Baystate Noble. One car was towed from the scene.

3:09 p.m. :Vandalism of motor vehicle, Noble Express Care, Union Street. Caller reported their car was keyed while in Noble Express. Damage report taken at police station.

3:28 p.m.: Accident, Main Street and Elm Street. Officer reported a bollard that appeared to have been knocked down on Park Square green.
