7:37 a.m.: abandoned vehicle, North Elm Street, a caller from a North Elm Street business reports a car has been parked in the company’s parking lot for three days, the responding officer reports he spoke with the vehicle’s owner who said that the daughter had been operating the car when she got a flat tire and left it in the lot, the man said that he will have the car towed from the lot;
1:52 p.m.: larceny, Orchard Street, a resident came to the station to complain that a department store credit card was opened in her name and purchases were made, the responding officer reports the victim said that the store requires her to file a police report;
2:39 p.m.: suspicious activity, Forest Avenue, a caller reports two young men are shooting BB guns across the street and she can hear the projectiles hitting her house, the respond officer reports he found and identified three boys playing with airsoft guns and advised them of the complaint, the boys were advised to ensure that their plastic projectiles remain in their yard and warned that additional complaints could lead to the confiscation of their toys or criminal complaints;
3:48 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, a caller from a Main Street business reports a recently terminated employee may have stolen from the store, the responding officer reports the caller said that he believes the former employee stole $157, the man said that he had not reviewed security video but will do so, the officer reports the suspect denied stealing from the store and surrendered her keys to the business which she said nobody had asked her for;
4:12 p.m.: suspicious activity, Riverbend Condos, 555 Russell Road, a caller reports for a third day in a row that somebody entered her apartment and moved things around, the responding officer reports both tenants showed him things which they said had been moved as well as defacements in the apartment, the officer observed no signs of forcible entry and that all the locks (which had been changed earlier in the day) were intact, the officer reports that as he was leaving the two young women ran to his cruiser and said that an additional act of vandalism had occurred in the previous minute, the officer noted that the tenants had been out of his sight long enough to effect the vandalism, the officer reports the landlord and the mother of one of the young women was notified and the college-aged women were advised of the consequences of filing false police reports;
11:06 p.m.: noise complaint, East Silver Street, a caller reports a loud kitchen fan at a nearby facility is disturbing her family’s sleep, the responding officer reports an employee was notified and agreed to have the fan turned off.
