8:54 a.m.: assist other agency, Apple Orchard Heights, a city building department worker requests an officer to assist with an inspection, the responding officer reports that health, fire and building inspectors identified numerous violations which the owners were advised to correct;
11:54 a.m.: officer wanted, Phelps Avenue, a caller requests an officer to verify the legitimacy of Holyoke officers questioning him about a recently purchased television, the responding officer reports he spoke with a pair of Holyoke detectives who said that the television had been reported to be stolen, the detectives took custody of the television to return to its owner and told the officer they will secure a refund for the purchaser;
11:57 a.m.: animal complaint, Church Street, an animal control officer reports that she investigated a report of an excessive number of dogs at a residence, the ACO reports the resident said that one of the two dogs present belongs to her boyfriend who leaves it with her while he works, the ACO reports she will investigate the license status of the resident’s dog and return on Wednesday to see if the second dog is there and if a citation is warranted;
12:22 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, a patrol officer reports he was informed by a motorist of an erratic operator, the officer then saw the vehicle and reports that the operator looked at him but did not comply with his motion to stop, the officer followed and observed the car fail to stop for a red light, the officer reports a check revealed that the owner of the vehicle had a suspended license and observed that the operator looked like the owner’s Registry of Motor Vehicles photograph, the car was stopped and was found to have no valid inspection sticker, Alicia A. Hansen, 32, of 130 Valley View Ave., Woronoco, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker and a red light violation, during the booking process the woman was found to be in possession of two pills found to b a controlled substance for which she had no prescription and was also charged with possession of a Class C drug, the passenger was seen to be not wearing a seat belt and was identified, the officer reports when the man exited the car he observed what appeared to be two empty heroin packets on the seat, the officer told the man he was going to perform a pat frisk for safety and asked if there were any hazards he should know about, the man said that he had two needles in his pocket and the officer found two hypodermic syringes and also found two bags of heroin, Jimmy Jacobs, 30, of 130 Valley View Ave., Woronoco, was arrested for possession of heroin;
5:40 p.m.: officer wanted, Washington Street, a caller reports someone is ringing her doorbell continuously, a simultaneous caller reports he delivered food to a woman at the address who said that she had to close the door to keep her cat inside and would return to pay him, the delivery driver said that the woman did not return and does not respond when he rings her doorbell, the responding officer reports the resident denied receiving any food from the driver, the woman showed the officer her phone and he reports that her last call made was to the pizzeria the driver represents, the woman wrote a check for the driver but continued to maintain she had not received any food;
7:49 p.m.: larceny, Main Line Drive, two persons came to the station to complain that their lockers at a fitness center were broken into and property was stolen, the responding officer reports a suspect was identified and interviewed, property stolen from each victim was recovered and a criminal complaint was filed;
9:18 p.m.: assist resident, Noble Hospital, Court Street, a caller from the hospital requests a courtesy transport for a discharged patient who has been unable to contact the local taxi company, the responding officer reports a courtesy transport was provided.
