8:42 p.m.: Disturbance and arrest, George Street. Police received a report of a person who came to an apartment inebriated and upon being asked to leave, they allegedly were in front of the residents “making vague threats.” It was then reported that the person had allegedly broken a window and they were walking away from the residence. Police reported that they were out with the person who also had an injury to their hand. Police arrested Gregory E. Hefty, 37, of Westfield, and charged him with defacement/vandalizing property and four counts of threat to commit a crime.
