11:30 a.m.: fire, Monroe Street, a caller report hearing a beeping noise and smelling an odor but not finding any smoke or flames, the responding Deputy Fire Chief reports the building was evacuated due to smoke from burnt food until the smoke was cleared;
1:18 p.m.: school investigation, Westfield Middle School South, a school resource officer reports a student’s mother advised him of a problem between her son and another boy, the officer spoke with an administrator who advised him that a meeting had been arraigned to discuss the issue, the SRO reports that after the meeting the woman he initially spoke with said that the problem appears to have been resolved;
1:21 p.m.: school investigation, Westfield Middle School South, a school resource officer reports he was advised that a teacher’s cell phone was stolen from her desk, the SRO reports that a school investigation led to a boy who admitted taking the phone and it was returned without the sim card, the boy’s parents agreed to reimburse the teacher for the expenses incurred when she had to replace her phone;
3:59 p.m.: attempted breaking and entering, Mestek, 156 Notre Dame Street, a caller reports an attempt was made to break into a building at the company, the responding officer reports the caller showed him two window screens which had been cut some time since Monday morning but said that no entry appeared to have been gained.
5:57 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Union Avenue, officer reports person exiting Union Street made a left turn onto Union Avenue against the one-way flow of traffic, motorist a New Hampshire resident following GPS directions, was issued a verbal warning;
6:59 p.m.: motor vehicle accident with personal injury, intersection of East Silver and Noble streets, officer reports two vehicle collision occurred as vehicles made left turn from East Silver Street onto Noble Street when the vehicle in the rear attempted to pass the lead vehicle and lost control, both vehicles collided and one vehicle struck a residence, officer reports pregnant 24-year-old woman a passenger in the lead vehicle was transported to Noble Hospital for evaluation, fire captain requesting an inspector from the building department to assess damage to residence, both vehicles towed from scene.
