2:09 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road at Sunset Drive, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports that the commercial vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
2:14 p.m.: breaking and entering, Brookline Avenue, a resident came to the station to report his cars were broken into overnight, the responding officer reports the complainant said that during the previous night his unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway was entered ad a CD case and assorted papers were stolen, the man said his wife’s vehicle was also entered and about $2 in coin was stolen, the victim said that an act of gratuitous vandalism to the interior of his wife’s vehicle leads him to believe that an identified former friend may have been responsible;
9:05 p.m.: larceny, Old Holyoke Road, a resident came to the station to report checks were stolen from his home, the responding officer reports that the victim said that one of several checks stolen from his home had been cashed, the man identified a possible suspect and the case was referred to the financial crimes unit of the detective bureau;
10:15 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Franklin Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports the car’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance, the plates were seized and the officer reports the owner will arrange for the removal of the vehicle.
