1:42 a.m.: assault, Meadow Street, a caller from a Meadow Street bar reports a customer left and returned a short time later with a bloody face, the responding officer reports the woman said that she had been assaulted by a known person, the person was not found in the area but a criminal complaint was filed;
1:52 p.m.: disturbance, Elm Street, a convenient store clerk reports a known man assaulted two customers with a baseball bat, the responding officer reports that the suspect took exception to a comment by a customer and struck him with a wiffle ball bat, a glancing blow also struck the first victim’s companion. Angel D.Hernandez, 52, of 96 Mechanic St., was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon;
6:13 a.m.: suspicious person, Baystate Noble Hospital, Court Street, an officer reports that a person known to be the subject of an outstanding warrant issued by the Westfield District Court was found to be at the hospital, Sean M. Pirnie, 41, of 55 Broad St., was arrested on the warrant;
12:53 p.m.: found property, Squawfield Road, a caller reports that a black mountain bike has been left in the yard of a business for about a week, the bicycle was transported to the station for safe keeping;
1:58 p.m.: larceny, Broad Street, a caller from a nursing facility reports a discrepancy regarding controlled substances, the responding officer reports an investigation was initiated;
7:53 p.m.: counterfeiting, WalMart, 141 Springfield Road, a store manager reports a male party who attempted to pass counterfeit $100 bills was questioned and fled after grabbing back as many of the bills as he could, the responding officer reports the store’s security video will be reviewed;
8:05 p.m.: threat to commit a crime, Ford Avenue, a caller reports a neighbor threatened to shoot her, the responding officer filed a report.
