1:59 a.m.: disturbance, Main Street, a caller from a pizza restaurant reports four intoxicated male parties are being disruptive and refusing to leave, the responding officer reports the manager said that the four intoxicated men entered the restaurant minutes before closing time, created a disturbance when they were told it was too late to serve them and refused to leave, the officer reports the men offered the same account but continued to expect to be served, the officer advised the men that the store is private property and that the management could elect not to do business with anyone, the officer told the men that continuing to remain on private property after being asked to leave constituted criminal trespass but two of the men still refused to leave, when the officer attempted take one of them into custody the other man pushed and grabbed the officer requiring another officer to assist, Cole M. Saunders, 21, of 294 Salem St., Wakefield was arrested for assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and trespass, Shadique Travon Walker, 21, of 49 Montrose St., Springfield was arrested for trespass;
9:46 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Bush Street, a patrol officer reports a routine check of a moving vehicle revealed that it was unregistered, the vehicle was stopped and the operator’s license was found to have been suspended, a criminal complaint was filed and the owner parked the vehicle;
10:27 a.m.: disabled vehicle, East Main Street, a caller reports a person who appears to be under the influence of something drove a vehicle with only three tires across his parking lot and the bare wheel created a rut in the macadam, the responding officer requests an ambulance for the operator who was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, the car was parked in the lot of a tire repair business;
10:40 a.m.: fraud, Western Avenue, a West Springfield resident came to the station to report that someone who called her said that her mother was being held hostage so she sent that party money via a money transfer card purchased locally, the responding officer reports that the woman was the victim of fraud;
1:03 p.m.: braking and entering, Monroe Street, a caller reports someone is breaking into her apartment, the responding officer reports there are no signs of forcible entry but the resident says various items have gone missing in the past months;
2:01 p.m.: assault, Broad Street, a caller from a Broad Street restaurant reports a customer punched the owner, the responding officer reports the victim declined medical assistance and reports that a wheelchair-bound customer became frustrated with the entertainment offered, punched the owner and refused to leave, the officer reports the customer was served with a “No trespassing’ order and escorted from the establishment;
5:27 p.m.: disturbance, Main Street, multiple callers report a fight in a parking lot, the responding officer reports he identified two involved parties who agreed that one spat at the other and then the other party spat at the first party, neither wished to pursue the matter;
5:54 p.m.: assault, Main Street, a caller reports a known person spat at her while she was working, the responding officer reports that the caller does not request any police action but asks that the incident be documented;
9:18 p.m.: assault, North Elm Street, a caller reports he was assaulted by two young men, the responding officer reports the complainant said that he was walking and passed a pair of young men to whom he made a casual greeting, the victim said that one of them then punched and kicked him, the officer reports that the victim pointed out a female party he said had been with the two youths but the officer reports the 16-year-old girl was uncooperative and forgetful;
10:59 p.m.: disturbance, Avery Street, a caller reports a college related disturbance, the responding officers report peace was restored.
