12:07 a.m.: suspicious vehicle, Powder Mill Road, a caller reports a vehicle without lights parked near a wooded area, the responding officers report the caller said that the occupants of the car walked toward the high school playing fields where they may have detonated fireworks, the officers reports that he found three persons who admitted expending fireworks and cleaned up the debris before they were sent on their ways;
1:20 a.m.: disturbance, Fowler Avenue, a caller reports eight persons were seen entering a house where an underage party was recently dispersed, the responding officers report an officer was stationed at the rear of the residence before officers approached from the front and the officer in the back reports that two persons fled the house, one person scaled a back fence and a companion threw his trousers over the fence but reversed direction when the officer attempted to detain the first person, the first suspect fled but stopped when the officer announced his willingness to use a Taser , a naked youth was subsequently found hiding nearby, Brad J. Scanlon, 17, of 11 Fowler Ave, and Eric A. Berrios, 18, of 4 Crown St., were each arrested for disorderly conduct;
9:09 a.m.: vandalism, Montgomery Road, a caller reports her mailbox was vandalized, the responding officer reports the caller said that her mailbox had been damaged and her neighbor’s mailbox was also vandalized and knocked off its post, the officer reports he observed both damaged mailboxes and checked others in the area but found no additional vandalism;
10:07 a.m.: accident, Dunkin Donuts, 127 N. Elm St., a caller reports a vehicle struck a building, the responding officer reports a vehicle struck the entrance to the store and the operator said she inadvertently depressed the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal, the building inspector was notified, the lobby of the store was closed for a time due to structural concerns but has been repaired and reopened;
12:17 p.m.: assist citizen, Lozier Avenue, a caller reports a neighbor is locked out of her residence, the responding firefighters report entry was made;
4:22 p.m.: arrest, Henry’s Trailer Park, 868 Southampton Road, an officer reports he became aware of an outstanding warrant and sought the subject at his last known address, Jeremy William Tallis, 24, of 868 Southampton Road, was arrested on two outstanding warrants;
6:20 p.m.: found property, East Main Street, a person came to the station to surrender a wallet found in a shopping cart, the responding officer reports the owner of he wallet could not be immediately contacted and the wallet was held for safe keeping;
6:43 p.m.: assist citizen, Main Street, a caller from a gas station reports that a customer’s keys were locking inside a running vehicle, the responding firefighters report entry was made;
6:48 p.m.: arrest, Magnolia Terrace, officers were dispatched to attempt to serve a warrant, the officers report the subject was found at his last known address, Michael D. Haight, 25, of 5 Magnolia Terrace, was arrested on two warrants;
7:53 p.m.: explosion, Birch Bluffs Drive, a caller reports a gas grill exploded while her husband was near it, the responding firefighters report the man was transported to Noble Hospital where he was treated and released;
11:40 p.m.: found property, Main Street, a clerk from a convenience store reports a bicycle has been abandoned at the store since Thursday ,the responding officer reports the bike was transported to the station for safe keeping;

1:19 p.m.: officer wanted, East Bartlett Street, a caller reports finding a hypodermic needle in her backyard, the responding officer reports the caller said that the needle was found on a picnic table of a common yard and said she believed that it was left there by another tenant who is an addict, the officer reports the needle was properly disposed of;
3:17 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports a customer said that a wallet had been stolen, the caller said that security was reviewed and a suspect was identified, the responding officer reports a criminal complaint was filed;
4:42 p.m.: unwanted guest, Samaritan Inn, 7 Free St., a caller reports that he became aware that two clients of the shelter had reportedly attempted to shoplift at a nearby store and he has asked them to leave the shelter, the responding officer reports a routine check revealed one of the men was the subject of three outstanding warrants, Richard J. Cokotis, 31, of 59 Napoleaon Ave., Chicopee, was arrested on the warrants;
5:56 p.m.: arrest, Arbor Mobile Home Park, Klondike Avenue, a detective reports that his investigation into the theft of a riding lawn mower from an Apremont Way business led him to a suspect who admitted the theft and was given an opportunity to return the mower, the man failed to do so, William R. Welch, 33, of 1 Klondike Ave., was arrested for trespass and for larceny of property valued more than $250;
7:53 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, multiple callers reports a possible intoxicated operator entering the city from the east, the responding officer reports he observed the vehicle on East Main Street and observed it cross the center line on multiple occasions as he followed it on to Noble and East Silver streets, the vehicle was stopped and the officer observed an odor of alcohol about the operator who said he had consumed one drink, the man exhibited the classic symptoms of alcohol intoxication and failed a field sobriety test, Douglas M. Diehl, 54, of 76 Brookline Ave., was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation;
10:43 p.m.: narcotics violation, a detective reports that an investigation by the Eastern Hampden Narcotics Task Force has identified a suspect who sold cocaine to a cooperating person, the detective reports a warrant application was filed.
