1:46 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Morris Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports the operator’s license was found to be suspended, a criminal complaint was filed;
2:05 p.m.: assist other police department, Morris Street, a detective reports he assisted West Springfield police who were seeking a city man, the detective reports the subject of an active warrant was located and taken into custody by a West Springfield detective;
4:10 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the vehicle was towed;
4:51 p.m.: recovered motor vehicle, North Road, a detective requests a marked unit to assist in the recovery of a stolen box truck, the detective reports a representative of the owner took custody of the recovered truck;
5:14 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a resident came to the station to complain that her purse was stolen from her vehicle while she was working, the responding officer reports the woman said that she had left her purse in her vehicle while working at a Springfield Road department store and when she returned to the car at the end of her shift she found her purse was missing;
5:46 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
6:30 p.m.: assist other police department, Enfield, Conn., police request that a city resident be notified that Enfield police have impounded her vehicle after whomever was operating it abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot after a traffic stop;
8:42 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
9:07 p.m.: officer wanted, Elm Street, a caller reports three youths with skateboards and scooters riding in traffic, the responding officer reports he observed two youths with a skate board and a scooter on the sidewalk, the officer reports he has dealt with the boys previously in regards to similar issues and followed them to their nearby homes to speak with their mothers, the mothers and the boys were advised that if the boys are found riding on sidewalks or other restricted areas the skateboards and scooters will be confiscated as evidence to support city ordinance violations.
