12:46 a.m.: suspicious persons, Franklin Avenue School, a patrol officer reports he observed two youths behind the school who fled when they saw him, the officer and an assisting officer detained a 17-year-old youth and 22-year-old man who had been smoking marijuana, city ordinance violation citations were issued;
9:36 a.m.: infrastructure complaint, Bates Road, a caller reports a fallen tree is blocking the roadway, the responding officers confirms that the road is blocked and requests that the DPW be notified, a DPW crew responded and the roadway was cleared by 11:02 a.m.;
10:01 a.m.; animal complaint, Meadow Street, the director of animal control operations reports he responded to a barking dog complaint, a city ordinance violation citation was issued;
10:38 a.m.: assist citizen, Westfield Middle School North, 350 Southampton Road, a school resource officer requests assistance with a lock out situation, the responding firefighters report entry to the vehicle was made;
11:56 a.m.: annoying phone calls, North Road, a resident came to the station to report she has been harassed by a male party she met on-line, the responding officer reports the issues is unwanted text messages and e-mail communications but does not rise to harassment, the woman was advised of her options and urged to call police again if the unwanted contact continues;
12:14 p.m.: assist citizen, East Main Street, a caller reports she has locked her keys in her vehicle which is running in an East Main Street parking lot, the responding firefighters report entry was made;
6:47 p.m.: disturbance, Western Circle, a caller reports her brother grabbed her neck and slammed her against a wall, the responding officer reports the woman said that he had been engaged in a day-long argument with her brother which ended when she was assaulted, the officer reports that he observed signs of injury, Ryan Poulin, 21, of 372 Montgomery Road, was arrested for assault and battery in a domestic relationship;
8:18 p.m.: breaking and entering, High Street, a resident and her son came to the station to complain that the boy’s bicycle was stolen, the responding officer reports the boy said that the bike had been stored inside his home when it was stolen;
11:36 p.m.: annoying phone calls, Bates Street, a resident came to the station to report she is getting harassing and threatening phone messages from her former boyfriend and a friend of his, the responding officer reports he found that the complainant and her boyfriend did not enjoy an amicable dissolution of their relationship and his calls are to object to reports she has allegedly been circulating about some medical issues she alleges he suffers from.
