1:44 a.m.: suspicious persons, Evangelical Free Church, 568 Southwick Road, a patrol officer reports he observed three male parties riding skateboards behind the church, the officer reports a check of the area revealed nothing unusual, the youths were advised to stay off the church property;
7:59 a.m.: burglary, Russellville Road, a business owner called to report a burglary at his garage and home, the victim said that numerous items have been stolen;
9:51 a.m.: found property, Sackett Street, a patrol officer reports he encountered a bicycle in the roadway, the blue Mongoose bike was transported to the station for safe keeping;
12:36 p.m.: disturbance, Russell Road, a caller reports that a male party locked her in the bathroom and threatened her, the responding officer reports he found a couple in the bathroom engaged in a heated verbal argument, a routine check revealed the male party to be the subject of two outstanding warrants, both parties were advised of their protective order options, Alexis Rivera, 33, of 974 Russell Road, was arrested on the two warrants;
2:14 p.m.: suspicious person, Union Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a male party exiting the driveway of a house not visible from the road, the officer checked the house and found two open doors but there was nobody at home, no obvious signs of disturbance were found, the officer reports he was subsequently unable to locate the man he had seen earlier;
3:53 p.m.: violation of a protective order, a caller reports her former husband has repeatedly driven past her workplace in violation of an active protective order, the responding officer reports the suspect was not found and a warrant request was filed;
4:32 p.m.: animal complaint, Country Club Drive, a caller reports there were two husky puppies in her yard, the responding director of animal control operations reports he transported the puppies to the municipal animal shelter;
4:37 p.m.: larceny, Casimir Street, a resident came to the station to report that a weed whacker valued at about $600 was stolen from the bed of his company pickup truck;
5:49 p.m.: larceny, West School Street, a caller reports his bicycle was stolen sometime between Wednesday evening and 3 p.m. Thursday, the officer reports the man said that the missing bike was stolen from his property;
6:46 p.m.: suspicious vehicle, Morgan Avenue, a call reports an unknown vehicle had been parked in front of her home, the responding officer reports that a routine check revealed that the owner of the vehicle was the subject of an outstanding warrant but was not found, about an hour and a half later multiple callers reported a male party was pouring gas into the vehicle’s tank, the officer found the man to be the owner, Craig M. Lapierre, 41, of 51 Red Fox Drive, Feeding Hills, was arrested on the warrant;
7:06 p.m.: a caller reports she returned from vacation to find that her home had been entered and property had been stolen, the respond officer reports he found that entry was made by forcing a basement window during the past week;
7:20 p.m.: traffic complaint, East Mountain Road at Paper Mil Road, multiple callers report the roadway is blocked by a fallen tree, the responding officer confirmed the roadway was impassable, the DPW was notified and dispatched a crew;
8:19 p.m.: accident, Russell Road at Lloyds Hill, an ambulance crew reports firefighters encountered a motorcyclist who had dumped his machine, dual response dispatched, the responding officer reports the operator said that the crash occurred because of his inexperience, the officer noted that the motorcycle had slid for 123 feet before coming to rest, the operator was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he was treated and released;
10:16 p.m.: suspicious activity, Western Avenue, a caller reports that two vehicles had transited a right-of-way adjacent to her home and are now parked in the woods, the responding officer reports he spoke with operators of the vehicles who were enjoying a bonfire and said they were friends of the caller’s grandson and they were sent on their ways after they were advised that they needed the resident’s permission to use the property, the fire was extinguished.
