1:06 a.m.: suspicious person, Park Square, a patrol officer reports he observed a person at the Green, the officer advised the man that lighted city parks close at 10 p.m., the man left the area;
1:44 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating without headlights, the vehicle was stopped, the operator was found to be a junior operator in violation of the limited hours of operation, the operator’s mother took custody of the vehicle and a criminal complaint was filed;
6:05 a.m.: assist other agency, Jefferson Street, a probation officer requests assistance executing an arrest warrant, the responding officer reports he found the subject at her registered address, Darlene Morse, 46, of 3 Jefferson St., was arrested on the warrant;
6:11 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Union Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed and determined it to be traveling at 57 mph in 40 mph zone, the vehicle was stopped and the operator’s license was found to have been revoked as an habitual traffic offender, Jeremy R. Eickelberg, 26, of 2355 Westfield St., West Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as an habitual traffic offender and speeding in violation of special regulations;
8:15 a.m.: suspicious person, Franklin Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a known party he believed to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, the warrant was confirmed, Donald Patrick Flynn, 54, of 38 Franklin St., was arrested on the warrant;
10:54 a.m.: school investigation, Westfield High School, 177 Montgomery Road, a school resource officer reports he was advised that a pupil’s wallet had been stolen from he gym locker area, the SRO reports a credit card which had been in the wallet was found to have been fraudulently used, the larceny remains under investigation;
3:10 p.m.: larceny, Noble Street, a caller reports his bicycle was stolen the day before, the responding officer reports the caller said that the bike had been in his backyard and was not secured when it was stolen after 6 p.m. Monday;
3:43 p.m.: breaking and entering, Granville Road, a caller reports she came home to find her residence had been broken into and property had been stolen, the responding officer reports entry was made by breaking a window and jewelry, a small amount of cash and a handgun were stolen;
3:54 p.m.: animal complaint, Orange Street, a caller reports a large dog inside an apartment is being neglected, the responding officer reports he was told that the tenant has not been seen for days, the dog has been barking constantly and has no food or water, the animal control officer was notified and the dog was transported to the municipal animal shelter, a criminal complaint was filed;
4:56 p.m.: animal complaint, Lewis Street, a caller reports a neighbor’s dog is aggressive and may be able to escape its fenced yard, the responding officer reports he spoke with the dog’s owner and showed her where the fence needs attention, the owner said she and her husband will address the issue;
6:34 p.m.: vandalism, Ridgeway Avenue, a resident came to the station to complain that a known person damaged her vehicle, the responding officer reports the complainant said that while she was talking with a known man he ripped the rear-view mirror off her car, a criminal complaint for malicious destruction of property was filed;
6:57 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street at Columbia Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the vehicle was towed;
8:10 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Orange Street at Elm Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the vehicle was towed.
