9:41 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Shaker Road, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating at a high rate of speed and stopped the SUV, a routine check revealed that the vehicle’s registration had been revoked for lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
10:11 a.m.: accident, East Silver Street, a caller reports a tractor trailer unit is wedged under a railroad overpass, the responding officer reports a tow truck was required to extricate the vehicle but the operator was able to drive it from the accident scene;
11:23 a.m.: larceny, Southampton Road, a resident came to the station to report a registration plate was stolen from her vehicle, the responding officer reports the woman said that the plate was last known to be affixed to her car about 4 p.m. Saturday;
1:35 p.m.: larceny, Orange Street, a resident came to the station to report that an envelope containing a check was stolen from her mailbox, the responding officer reports the woman said that when a check sent to her regularly to pay a personal care attendant did not appear in her mail she checked and found that it had been sent but not received;
4:03 p.m.: arrest, Southampton Road, officers who were made aware of an outstanding warrant report they sought he subject of the warrant at her last known address, Melissa L. Gibney, 40, of 868 Southampton Road, was arrested on the warrant without incident;
7:17 p.m.: incapacitated person, Elm Street, a caller reports he is using his vehicle to prevent an operator who appears to be intoxicated from driving away from a gas station, the responding officer reports he immediately detected an odor of alcohol about the suspect who acknowledged one alcoholic drink, the man failed a field sobriety test, Oleg A. Igumnov, 34, of 16 Sheldon St., was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, a second offense;
8:32 p.m.: identity fraud, Sackett Road, a resident came to the station to report that he has discovered that his social security number has been used to open a cable television account in Lynn which is now in arrears;
10:06 p.m.: fire, Orange Street, a caller reports a shed is on fire, see story in the Wednesday edition of The Westfield News.
