1:31 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a caller reports an erratic operator on Southampton Road, the responding officer reports the vehicle was stopped and the operator’s license was found to have been revoked, Ed D Drummer, 24, of 811 St. James Ave., Springfield, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license;
1:56 a.m.: unwanted guest, Pochassic Street, a caller reports her former boyfriend has been calling her phone and sending text messages all night and had come to her home earlier and tried to enter, after that situation was resolved, the caller said, the man pitched a tent in her front yard, the responding officer report that the man was advised that he is not welcome at the residence and sent on his way, the tent was found to belong to the caller’s mother and was left on the property;
7:34 a.m.: larceny, Blueberry Ridge, a call reports a registration plate was stolen from his vehicle, the responding officer reports that the caller said that a temporary registration plate which he had installed on his vehicle is missing;
10:38 a.m.: vandalism, Pinewood Lane, a caller reports the rear window of his car was found to have been smashed overnight, the responding officer reports that nothing was stolen from the vehicle and the instrument which broke the window was not discovered;
11:16 a.m.: larceny, Meadows Apartments, 101 Meadow St., a caller reports his bicycle was stolen, the responding officer reports that the caller said that the bike is valued at more than $450 and had been chained at the rear of the property when it was stolen;
11:16 a.m.: assist citizen, Old Feeding Hills Road, a caller reports he is attempting to recover tools he loaned to a friend who is away but his friend’s wife will not release them, the responding officer reports he was able to mediate and the tools were returned to the caller who was advised not to go to his friend’s residence until the his friend returns home;
3:02 p.m.: animal complaint, Pineridge Drive, a caller reports a bear and two cubs in the area, the responding officer reports the three bears were seen about 30 feet up in a tree;
3:42 p.m.: vandalism, Colonial Pine Acres, a resident came to the station to report the tires on his vehicle were slashed, the responding officer reports the complainant found that the tires had been deflated by an unknown person but were intact, the tires were inflated;
7:17 p.m.: suspicious persons, Granville Road, a caller reports two persons in the driveway of a vacant house may have been inside, the responding officer reports no suspects were found but the front door was open, the officer made contact with a representative of the owner who will work to secure the residence.
