3:08 p.m.: Accident, Broad Street. Police received a report of an accident from the Westfield Fire Department that reportedly previously occurred on May 2, at an address on Broad Street. Police completed a crash report, according to notes. 

3:11 p.m.: Motor vehicle–theft of plate, Southwick Road. Police received a report of a stolen license plate off a business trailer, reportedly sometime around Feb. 16. No further information was reported. 

9:09 p.m. Accident and arrest, Ashley Street. Police received a report of a crash involving a parked car and another. According to police, the report occurred when a person called in reporting they heard a “bang from outside” and when they checked, their vehicle was allegedly struck by another vehicle. The suspect vehicle then allegedly fled the scene. Police eventually stopped the vehicle and reported that the operator, Kelly A. Alamed, 33, of Westfield, had allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. 

11:44 p.m.: Accident, Union Street. Police received a report from state police that reported that a state police trooper had reportedly witnessed a “red vehicle strike a street sign pole and trash can” before fleeing the scene on Union Avenue. State police reported the trooper was unsuccessful in locating the vehicle. Westfield Police and Massachusetts State Police were unable to locate the vehicle, according to the police log.
