10:08 a.m.: suspicious person, Chapman Playground, St. Paul Street, a caller reports a man is in the playground watching the children, the responding officer reports the man is a nearby resident enjoying the park but was in possession of beer which he was advised not to drink in public;
12:27 p.m.: school investigation, Westfield Technical Academy, 33 Smith Ave., a school resource officer reports he was advised of an unauthorized person in the school buildings, the person was found to be a former student who left without incident;
1:17 p.m.: assist other agency, Westfield District Court, Elm Street, officers were detailed to bring a person to the court, the assigned officer reports the woman was found at her home address and transported to the court without incident;
6:47 p.m.: incapacitated person, East Silver Street, a caller reports a man is unconscious and there are cans of compressed air near him, the responding officer reports he spoke with the man who said that he had been “huffing” compressed air and injured his elbow when he fell, the man was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital;
7:21 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, a caller reports that his bicycle was stolen from his workplace, the responding officer reports the complainant said that he arrived for orientation at his new supermarket job and parked his bicycle outside, the victim said that he checked the bike periodically while he was working but found it had been stolen when he left;
10:18 p.m.: animal complaint, East Silver Street, a caller reports a “semi deceased” baby skunk is in his yard, the responding animal control officer reports she retrieved the baby skunk.
