12:33 a.m.: disturbance, Dubois Street, a caller reports a man is walking around while yelling and screaming, the responding officer reports the young man found was deemed to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was placed in protective custody;
10:00 a.m.: school investigation, Westfield High School, a school resource officer reports that he was advised of an incidence of cell phone theft, the SRO reports that school officials will deal with the issue internally;
1:08 p.m.: larceny, Shaker Road, a resident came to the station to complain that a health care worker had taken her debit card and used it without authority, the responding officer reports evidence was found suggesting that the allegation is true, charges are pending;
1:24 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street, a traffic bureau officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports the vehicle’s registration was found to have been revoked for lack of insurance, the SUV was towed to the police impound yard;
6:48 p.m.: vandalism, Cardinal Lane, a caller reports hearing something strike her house and when she looked outside she saw that a window shutter was broken, the caller described a vehicle which she said had been in front of her house and had left when she went outside;
7:06 p.m.: suspicious vehicle, Hampton Ponds playground, Old Stage Road, a caller reports that a neighbor had called him regarding a vehicle parked in the woods at the playground, the responding officer reports he found a couple engaged in amorous activity and advised them that such activity is not permitted in a public park, they were also told that they were trespassing as city parks and playgrounds close at dusk, the couple left the area;
7:30 p.m.: assist motorist, Main Street, a patrol officer reports that he observed a vehicle stopped with its hazard lights flashing at the intersection of Main Street and Lindbergh Boulevard, the officer reports the operator said that he was trying to call a person he had recently dropped off in the area, the officer reports a resident of the area said that the man in question had fled her apartment saying that he has outstanding warrants, a search of the area did not yield the suspect;
8:16 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Washington Street at Court Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and non-renewable;
10:44 p.m.: suspicious vehicle, Tin Bridge, Ponders Hollow Road, a patrol officer reports he encountered an unattended vehicle parked in the area of the Tin Bridge, the officer reports he spoke with the owner of the car who said that his son has control of it and is camping in the area, the man said that his son does not have a cellphone, the vehicle was found to be secure although one tire was reported to be soft;
11:09 p.m.: well-being check, Southampton Road, a caller reports a vehicle has been parked at an ATM for about ten minutes, the responding officer reports the vehicle was found to be occupied by a Worthington resident whose license was suspended and who was the subject of three outstanding warrants, Shawn R. Regan, 28, of 222 West St., Worthington was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and on warrants issued in 2013 and 2014, he was found to be in possession of narcotics without a prescription and was also charged with possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug and possession of a Class E drug.
