9:18 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the car was towed to the police impound yard;
10:01 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, North Elm Street a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, the car was towed;
10:13 a.m.: larceny, Main Street, a caller reports a person stole a backpack blower the day before, the responding officer reports that a security video shows a male party walk out of the store with a blower valued at about $500;
11:08 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Court Street a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and non-renewable, the car was towed to the police impound yard;
12:04 p.m.: larceny, Free Street, a person staying at the Samaritan Inn reports his medication was stolen, the responding officer reports that the victim said that his medicine was stolen overnight;
12:13 p.m.: vandalism, Montgomery Road, a caller reports something was thrown at his mailbox, the responding officer reports that the mailbox was damaged by an object apparently thrown from a vehicle, the officer reports the victim does not require an investigation but wants the vandalism documented;
2:58 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Court Street a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and the operator’s license was found to be suspended, the car was towed to the police impound yard;
2:58 p.m.: larceny, Free Street, a Southwick resident came to the station who said that she is the caregiver for another woman whose gift card was stolen at the Samaritan Inn, the responding officer reports the victim said that a pre-paid credit card was stolen from the counter at the homeless shelter;
3:09 p.m.: assault, Southwick Road at Tannery Road, a resident came to the station to complain that he was assaulted in a road rage incident, the responding officer reports the complaint said that after an vehicular incident the other operator approached his vehicle, reached inside to grab his throat and choked him, the officer reports a criminal complaint was filed;
4:41 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Mountain Road, an off-duty state trooper reports he has observed a person believed to have a suspended license operating a motor vehicle, the responding officer reports the suspect vehicle was stopped and the operator’s license was found to have been suspended for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, Michael J. Goss, 35, of 186 West Meadowview, Holyoke, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for OUI;
8:47 p.m.: suspicious person, Southwood Acres, 342 Southwick Road, a caller reports somebody opened his front door without invitation but quickly closed it when the caller was seen, the responding officer reports the caller said that he had been in his apartment when somebody opened the door but he did not get a good look at the person before the door was quickly closed again, a search of the area did not yield a suspect.
