5:29 a.m.: assist citizen, Union Street, a caller reports his keys are locked inside his running vehicle, the responding firefighters report entry was made;
10:34 a.m.: assist citizen, Chapel Street, the domestic violence advocate request an officer to escort a woman to a Chapel Street address to keep the peace as she retrieves property, the responding officer reports the woman collected her belongings without incident;
10:52 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a patrol officer reports a vehicle with expired registration was seen operating on Southampton Road and a second officer encountered the SUV and stopped it, the vehicle’s registration was found to be expired and the operator renewed the registration via her smartphone;
1:25 p.m.: school investigation, Westfield High School, 177 Montgomery Road, a school resource officer reports he was advised of a problematic parent, the SRO reports that the mother of a boy who had admitted that he was under the influence of marijuana was called to pick up her son and the principal observed the woman push her son and strike him with an open hand in the parking lot, the Department of Children and Families was notified,
3:19 p.m.: vandalism, Airport Road, a Chicopee resident reports via the online reporting option that her vehicle was vandalized at her workplace, the complainant said that she parked her vehicle at her workplace and returned to it two hours later to find that a tire had been slashed and flattened;
4:02 p.m.: suspicious person, Old Holyoke Road, a caller reports a pickup truck seems to be going door-to-door in the neighborhood, the responding officer spotted and stopped the vehicle and found that the operator’s license had been suspended, Nicole M. Fournier, 37, of 859 Main St., Holyoke, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, a subsequent offense;
6:05 p.m.: larceny, Springfield Road, a caller from a Springfield Road department store reports two minor shoplifters have been detained in the store, the responding officer reports a store employee said that the two girls had been seen concealing merchandise in their handbags and were detained when they attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, the employee said that duct tape, clothing and small items with a total value of more than $175 were recovered, the store management elected not to pursue the matter but wants it to be documented;
7:31 p.m.: well being check, Billy Bullens Field, King Street Extension, a caller reports her brother is intoxicated and planning to sleep in a dugout at the field, the responding officer reports the man was found walking at the field and a routine check revealed him to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, Stephen Christopher Pease, 28, of 38B Copley Terrace, Pittsfield, was arrested on the warrant;
7:59 p.m.: vandalism, Gary Drive, a caller reports a person in a passing vehicle threw eggs at her house, the responding officer reports a search of the area did not yield a suspect;
10:54 p.m.: disturbance, North Elm Street, a caller reports a man ran into the business she works at and asked that police be called, the responding officer reports the complainant was found to a resident of a nearby apartment who said that his girlfriend’s son had assaulted him during an argument, the officer noted signs of minor injury and reports the suspect had left the area, a criminal complaint was filed and Holyoke police were advised that the suspect may be en route to their city and that there is probable cause to justify his arrest if found.
