9:52 a.m.: officer wanted, Elm Street, a caller reports that while walking her dogs she observed a male party hitting and yelling at his own dog, the woman said that the male party threatened to let his dog loose if she did not leave the area, the responding officer reports that he found a known man with his dog who was agitated by police attention and initially denied involvement in the incident but subsequently claimed that the caller’s dogs had been bothering his dog, the man was advised to keep his dog under control and refrain from abusing it;
12:49 p.m.: assist resident, Buck Pond Road, a prisoner released from custody was provided a courtesy transport to take control of his vehicle;
5:09 p.m.: motor, vehicle violation, City View Boulevard, a patrol officer requests a tow for a vehicle found to have revoked registration due to a lack of insurance, the vehicle was towed;
6:03 p.m.: illegal trash disposal, Russell Road, a caller reports two persons are dumping furniture, the responding officer reports that the furniture was not being dumped but was used as props for a photograph the people were creating;
7:07 p.m.: disturbance, Lozier Avenue, a caller reports an incipient fight, the responding officer reports a routine check of the persons found in the area revealed that one of the participants was the subject of an outstanding warrant, Catherine M. Reed, 31, of 26 Shady Brook Lane, Springfield, was arrested on the warrant;
7:10 p.m.: larceny, South Street, a resident came to the station to report the theft of his bicycle, the responding officer reports the complainant said that he left his unlocked bike outside the home of friends he was visiting and found it gone when he returned for it;
8:15 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a vehicle operating without an inspection sticker and stopped the car, the operator’s license was found to have been revoked as an habitual traffic offender, Justin L. Perez, 25, of 177 Elm Street, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as an habitual traffic offender (a fifth offense), the car was towed to the police impound yard.
