12:32 a.m.: disturbance Mechanic Street, a caller requests assistance ejecting an unwanted guest from her party, the responding officers reports services were rendered;
12:42 a.m.: disturbance Mechanic Street, police responding to a loud college aged party report the tenants were cooperative, about 100 persons were dispersed from the party;
1:47 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Springfield Road, a patrol officer report she observed a vehicle operating at an excessive rate of speed and stopped the vehicle, the operator’s license was found to have been suspended and he was found to be the subject of outstanding warrants issued by the Dudley and East Brookfield district courts, Ruben Maldonado, 40, of 23 Taylor Ave., was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, speeding and on the aforementioned warrants, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard, the vehicle owner was contacted and advised how to claim his vehicle and that his employee had been arrested;
5:02 a.m.: breaking and entering, School Street, a resident came to the station to report somebody was breaking into her apartment, the responding offer reports the woman said she heard somebody breaking in and fled to the police station, the woman said she did not see anybody, the investigating officers report a male party was found to be asleep in the residence, the woman identified the man as her boyfriend and said she had fled without realizing who it was entering her apartment;
12:34 p.m.: accident, North Road at Southampton Road, a caller reports a two vehicle accident, the responding officer reports one of the operators was transported Baystate Noble Hospital and both vehicles were towed to the police impound yard;
2:04 p.m.: alarm, Westfield Technical High School, 30 Smith Avenue, a motion alarm indicated an intruder in the school and two persons were seen via a closed circuit camera, the responding officers reports they spoke with two youths on Smith Avenue and surrendered them to the custody of parents, a key holder was summoned to secure an unlocked door;
4:34 p.m.: disturbance, Miller Street, a caller requests assistance clearing a party, the responding officers reports about 120 persons were dispersed from the college aged party;
7:31 p.m.: larceny, Stanley Park, 400 Western Ave., a resident came to the station to complain that her cellphone was stolen from her boyfriend’s mother’s car at the park, the responding officer reports he was told that the woman had loaned her phone to her boyfriend who said he left it in his mother’s car while he went for a walk at the park and found it had been stolen when he returned;
9:13 p.m.: animal complaint, Franklin Street, a caller reports he has trapped a stray cat, the responding animal control officer the cat was transported to the Westfield Animal Shelter;
10:02 p.m.: disturbance, King Street, a caller reports an unruly college aged party, the responding officers report three tenants were issued city ordinance violation citations for keeping a disorderly house, about 100 guests were dispersed.
