9:46 a.m.: animal complaint, West School Street, a caller reports her dog was bitten by a neighbor’s dog, the responding animal control officer reports the caller said that the offending dog was running loose when it bit her dog’s hindquarters drawing blood, both dog owners went to a veterinary clinic where the ACO interviewed the owners and placed the offending dog in quarantine;
2:13 p.m.: arrest, Harvard Street, an officer detailed to attempt to serve an outstanding warrant reports the subject was found at his last known address, Jonathan Jiances, 21, of 24 Harvard St., Westfield, was arrested on the warrant issued in 2016 by the Hampden Superior Court;
3:09 p.m.: officer wanted, Main Street, a caller reports finding a note at an ATM, the responding officer reports the woman showed him a note found in the ATM which appears to have been written by a child asking for relief from parental abuse, the note contained no contact information;
6:09 p.m.: accident, South Broad Street, a caller reports swerving to avoid a deer and hitting a tree, dual response dispatched, the responding officer reports the operator was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital, an animal control officer responded to transport a canine passenger to the animal shelter, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
8:21 p.m.: counterfeiting, WalMart, 141 Springfield Road, a store employee reports a boy handed him eight $100 bills and three were counterfeit, the responding officer reports an investigation was initiated, no information is released about juvenile offenders.
