12:04 a.m.: Disturbance, Park Square. Police received a report of a male who was yelling profanities at a group of people and threatening to assault them. According to the person that called police, the male yelling also began to gather bricks in order to allegedly throw them at the group, but once he saw the person on the phone he reportedly ran from the scene. After running from the scene, the male fell and scraped his arm, according to police. Police found that he was also intoxicated. Police requested an ambulance and the male was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital.

1:04 p.m.: Fraud, walk-in. Police received a report of fraud that happened after the victim listed items for sale online and received interest and an offer. The person sent the victim a check in excess of the amount requested and asked that the victim send the excess amount back via MoneyGram after they cash the check. However, the check was not valid.

2:36 p.m.: Larceny, Big Y Supermarket, East Silver Street. Police received a report that there was a theft on Sept. 19 of Rogaine and teeth whitening strips. There were no arrests made regarding the theft and police reported that this is a serial problem.

7:24 p.m.: Motor vehicle theft, Lockhouse Road. Police received a report of a 1995 Honda Accord that was stolen sometime overnight. Police had no suspects and no further information to provide.

9:01 p.m.: Burglary and police chase, Dry Bridge Road. Police received a report of a breaking and entering that resulted in the theft of several items, including laptops and televisions. Shortly afterward, a Westfield officer stopped a vehicle due to a bad inspection sticker. The car then proceeded to drive away from police and police give chase. The police chase continued toward West Springfield and police called off the chase when it leaves the city. When the vehicle reached West Springfield, it was reported that it crashed into a tree in West Springfield. The vehicle reportedly had the items stolen inside it.
