1:58 a.m.: accident, Hillside Road, a caller reports a vehicle struck a utility pole, the responding officer reports the pole was snapped in half and there is damage to property at three Hillside Road addresses, one person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital and the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
8:11 a.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a caller from an East Main Street supermarket reports that a review of security video after the recent arrest of a pair of shoplifters (see story in the Oct. 30 edition of The Westfield News) showed that the same thieves stole meat and seafood from the store on Sept. 9, the report was referred to the Detective Bureau;
10:26 a.m.: larceny, East Main Street, a caller from an East Main Street supermarket reports that a review of security video after the recent arrest of a pair of shoplifters (see story in the Oct. 30 edition of The Westfield News) showed that the same thieves stole meat and shrimp from the store on Sept. 27, the report was referred to the Detective Bureau;
10:46 a.m.: animal complaint, Westfield Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, a Loomis Street resident came to the shelter to surrender a cat his family was given but cannot keep due to allergies.
