9:46 a.m.: vandalism, Morris Street, a resident came to the station to complain of vandalism to her car. The woman told the responding officer that several weeks ago she found an oily material had been poured on her vehicle while it was parked on Morris Street, the officer reports the woman said that at the time she wiped the fluid off but now the substance has removed the paint from portions of her car;
11:34 a.m.: assist the police department, Hillcrest Circle, a resident came to the station to surrender his license to carry firearms as a result of a current restraining order;
12:56 p.m.: larceny, WalMart, 141 Springfield Road, a store employee reports a woman seen shoplifting is in custody, the responding officer reports Brittany M. Lambert, 29, of 25 Kellogg St., was arrested for shoplifting by asportation;
2:45 p.m.: larceny, Home Depot, 514 E. Main St., a store employee reports a series of thefts from the store in May and June appear to have been perpetrated by the same suspect, the responding detective reports he is attempting to identify the suspect;
3:25 p.m.: trespassing, Railroad Avenue, a caller reports trespassers on the river bank, the responding officer reports persons found swimming in the river were advised of the dangers and left the area;
11:16 p.m.: accident, Airport Industrial Park Road, a caller reports her daughter was involved in a crash which left her vehicle on its roof but did not result in injuries, dual response dispatched, the responding firefighters report no fluids were leaking and they were not needed, a tow was requested and the vehicle was subsequently released to the owner.
