3:19 a.m.: incapacitated person, Bartlett Street, a caller reports a man on the ground near Bartlett Street is unresponsive, dual response dispatched, the man was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital and found to be deceased, see story in the March 30 edtion of The Westfield News;
3:35 a.m.: accident, Little River Road, a caller reports an accident, the responding officer reports a car struck a curb before crossing Little River Road and leaving the opposite side of the roadway, the vehicle came to rest at the bottom a six-foot embankment, the officer reports the operator was not injured but displayed the classic symptoms of alcohol intoxication, the woman acknowledged drinking and said she fell asleep, the woman failed a field sobriety test, Kelsey A. Strong, 25, of 28 Sefton Drive, Southwick, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation;
2:49 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the operator’s license was found to have been suspended, the vehicle was towed to the police impound yard;
9:21 p.m.: animal complaint, Union Street, a caller reports he found a well-fed female pit bull running loose without a collar, the responding animal control officer reports the dog was transported to the Westfield Animal Shelter;
10:27 p.m.: well being check, Main Street, a caller reports a friend notified him that the subject of an outstanding warrant is at his residence and he wants him to leave, the responding officer reports the man was found and a warrant was confirmed, Sean M. Pirnie, 41, of 55 Broad St., was arrested on a warrant issued by Westfield District Court.
