Westfield Post 124 continues to surge toward a potential National Bound Tournament entry with yet another victory, defeating West Springfield 7-1 Sunday to improve to 9-2.
Post 124 still has key games remaining at Northampton (July 2), at Agawam (July 3), and finally, home against Wilbraham Friday night at Bullens Field at 7 to boost its chances.
Evan Moorhouse (3-for-4, run, 3 RBIs), Tim Donahue (2-for-3, double, 2 runs), and Nate Barnes (2 RBIs) led the hitting attack for Westfield. Post 124 pitcher Rob Sullivan (4 innings, 6 Ks, 0 earned runs) and reliever Matt Plasse (3 inn., 1 hit allowed) combined to silence West Springfield.
