Mayor Knapik, you should support Mayor Sarnoff of Springfield’s ruling that he doesn’t want any more refugees in his city. We should stand like that in Westfield. We shouldn’t have to have any more refugees here in Westfield. So, if you were a true man, you’d stand by your fellow mayor.

I was reading The Westfield News Saturday about the Westfield wants to take over the bowling alley that’s being refurbished, Romani’s. I remember when I was a youngster growing up, after school and I get out and set up many a night for the leagues and made a few dollars back then. We didn’t get much. But it was work. And I set up pins for a lot of the big players there. And I feel bad that they’re going to be tearing it down. But I guess that’s progress. I don’t know if that Mr. Cappa knew this before he started renovating it, that the city was going to take it. If that’s the case, he shouldn’t have put all that money and time into it. But anyway, I have a lot of good memories when I was a kid, breaking my back every night when there were leagues, setting up pins. So, anyway, good luck. I hate to see it go but I’m just walking down memory lane. Thank you.

Hi! This message is for the people who are running the Westfield Fair. My buddy and I attended the truck pulls on Friday night. There were two women who came around selling 50/50 raffle tickets, 6 for $5. My buddy and I each bought $5 worth. They never said that the drawing is at the other part of the fair. What a rip-off! How could you possibly hear the numbers being drawn with all the motor noise? They should never have sold tickets at the truck pull area knowing that most of these people were there for seeing the trucks. My buddy finally asked the announcer: “when is the 50/50 drawing?” and he told us: “it’s not us – it’s the other part of the fair.” Big huge rip-off for all the people watching these trucks that bought tickets waiting for the drawing. Thank you.
