Hi, I just saw the report about the devastating fire at General Shepard.  I think it would be very wise if these buildings with people with oxygen and others in the building did not smoke at all.  It would be very wise, after seeing this terrible tragedy.  It could have been much more worse.  I think it’s about time if we have no smoking in hospitals with oxygen and other public places with oxygen.  I think it’s about time our government and agencies worked with the housing complexes with oxygen to have no smoking at all.  Thank you.  Good night.

Good morning Westfield! I’m calling from The Friends of the Westfield Senior Center that is going to get built very soon, I hope, inviting you to come to our Shake of the Winter Party at Shaker Farms Country Club this Saturday night from 7-10.  Please think about joining us and bring your kids and your grand-kids and show them how you used to dance when Cory and the Knightsmen.  Come join us!  It’s a lot of fun.  Last year we had a great time.  All left with a  big smile on their face and if you’re looking for tickets the Senior Center or Tommy Keenan’s office in Westfield…  We’d love to have you join us. Please think about coming Saturday night.  Cory and the Knightsmen are as outstanding as ever and if you like to dance come join us.  Thanks PulseLine for doing what you do.

Hi, I’m reading Wednesday February 27th’s paper: “First ‘State of the City’ Meeting Held.”  I find it very hard that nobody at that meeting brought up when and where there’s a Ward2 councilor coming.  I find it odd.  What was the other thing I had? But, anyways, I’m also reading this 500 parking spot thing.  Is there any way the city gets to vote on this? It’s going to be useless.  We don’t need it.  Nobody goes downtown.  I know we got to fix that but starting with 500 parking spot thing that I don’t know how it’s going to draw any money.  If somebody could explain that to me, I’d love it.  I will be going to my ward’s meeting.  But, is there a way we can fight that parking spot and win, unlike what he did with the school that nobody wants? I don’t know if somebody could tell us our rights on that.  Thank you.

Yeah, just a thought. If the city’s got time to put signs up saying “Warning: Pot Holes Ahead. Use At Your Own Risk” wouldn’t they have enough time to throw a shovel full of blacktop? Don’t make any sense to me. This city is so backwards it isn’t funny. Have a good day. When we drove by the sign this morning, there were workers filling potholes. Did you drive by at lunchtime?

17th century philosopher, Immanuel Kant, stated “No one has the right to do that which, if everyone did it, would destroy society”. Since reading this quote I have changed some things I do. Are there some things you may change to help society?
