Hi, yeah, I’m reading the article about United Cooperative Bank not sharing their parking lot.  Ever since they redesigned that parking lot and the building, they screwed up.  They got too many curbs in there. You can’t even park there handicapped.  These poor people probably can’t even pull in there.  It’s so tight, and all those cars – they gotta get rid of that whole island.  They gotta get rid of their whole drive-up.  Put the drive-up right up next to that side of the building.  Have a door come out of the side of the building and that alleviates so much more parking.  They built a brand-new building up on Southampton Road.  Islands everywhere – very hard to get through and park.  But this is all probably a point to start making downtown have parking problems to alleviate this 500 parking garage that we don’t need.  Please Westfield, start talking about how we don’t want that and need it.  It’s a taxpayer’s nightmare.  It’s not gonna generate no money.  Thank you.

Good a.m.  Great shot of the United Bank sidewalk with their bicycle racks being broken and good reporting on their people’s sidewalk that, when their SUVs and their trucks cross it, back in and out, to go into the drive-in.  You should have a great shot if you can get people going into the hairdresser and avoiding all the traffic, in and out of the United parking.  The city lets them do it.  Thank you.

Yes, I was reading in Saturday’s paper, March 2nd, about the carriers.  I really don’t appreciate the way the person answered what happens when just one of these kids gets attacked, molested, or robbed? You know what? Why don’t you report it when a carrier tells you this situation happened?  It should be reported to the police and the police should go to the house and settle it.  And, as far as I’m concerned, you still are to blame for them not getting their tips.  Thank you.

Well, it’s United “Bully” Bank vs. The Good Table.  I vote for The Good Table every time.  No interest and delicious food.  AM I supposed to be intimidated by the security guard that takes photos of my license plate? C’mon.  Why don’t the two of you settle this thing? Unbelievable.

Hey – I’m just thinking here, if that Brian Winters becomes a city council he better keep his lawsuit going, or instantly, right away, he’s one of the good ol’ boys, so don’t start your term or your reputation that way.  You got a good lawsuit.  Stay with it.  Then become on the team.  Thank you very much.  One man’s opinion.

Hi! Just sitting here wondering why I have the feeling that young Mr. Winters is being manipulated by Councilors Flaherty and O’Connell and others from Ward 2? Perhaps they see another vote against this administration’s attempts to correct the sins of the past?

On the evening of Thursday February 7, 2013 my husband was faced with the realization that I was in need of immediate medical attention and called 911. His call
was met with expedient efficiency. The two men who attended me and brought me to the Emergency Room at the Noble Hospital, where professional, well trained, courteous and kind. We extend our grateful thanks to these men and the Westfield Fire Department. Unfortunately, our world has become so cynical that I fear that the many who will read this letter will have a response of, “Well, that’s their job, that’s what they’re paid to do”. However, how much more positive could our world become if we all just took the time to stop and say thank you to not only those who do their jobs, but especially to those who do them well. Kudos to all the men and women of the Westfield Fire Department who do their job well and provide a great service to our city.
