To all the citizens of Westfield. Friday the Salvation Army kicked off it’s Red Kettle Drive. I would like to take a moment to thank the good people of Westfield in advance for there fantastic support now and in the future. It was cold and windy Friday but I was reminded what the Salvation Army does for the soul. In the last 15 years that I have been ringing the bell for them I hear from complete strangers how the Salvation Army has helped a loved one in there hour of need. I remember to say thank you to everyone who contributes. It’s wonderful to here a thank you from someone who appreciates you for standing out in the cold working for such a worthy cause. It kept me warm against the elements. My father was a great man very charitable he’s been gone for 11 years now. Friday as I was ringing a man drove by slow in a car that looked like my father’s old car. I thought there he is looking at me saying what a good job he has done. Thanks Dad for teaching me humility. If you want to feel useful, thankful, appreciated why not help us reach our goal. You can call me Mary Lou Dazelle at 413-562-2910. Lets spread the felling around.
