To the city council re: hydrants and snow. We the people of this city are human beings and not plows. At my last house because the property was a corner the plows pushed all of the snow there blocking the sidewalk which we had cleaned. Once the plows push the snow it becomes even heavier and when it’s piled four feet high it is impossible to move. Do you expect senior citizens with arthritis and possibly heart problems to do the impossible?

Thank you for the excellent article on the play The Draft, coming to Westfield State on Sept. 24th. I wanted to let your readers know that it is also being staged at the Academy of Music in Northampton on Sept. 27 at 4 pm. ($15 General/$10 Seniors and Students). So if you are unable to make the performance at Dever Stage, WSU, get your tickets for the Academy performance at www.academyofmusictheatre.com.
It is truly a powerful play portraying a range of experiences from infantry combat to prison and Canada – the full gamut of what our generation experienced in those turbulent times.
