PulseLine: Southwick’s Moore House

The Town of Southwick has a jewel of a historic home, The Moore House, which has literally arisen from a structure held together by termites and layers of siding etc. Lee David Hamberg, a Southwick native and brilliant historian, has spent a significant part of his life restoring the house and cigar factory to the beautiful museum complex it is today. Since 1990, Lee’s experience, hard work, sticktoitiveness and great talent have helped bring Southwick history back to life. Throughout the long process, he has been a gentleman, and shown the highest degree of professionalism and a wonderful sense of humor. Lee has worked with generations of Southwick families on this project which provides both education and entertainment for adults and children alike. Lee deserves a standing ovation for his accomplishments. Get out to the house and take part in the wonderful programs the Southwick Historical Society provides for the surrounding communities. You will have a great time. We indeed are fortunate.
