Ralph B. Blood

WESTFIELD: Ralph B. Blood born June 25, 1942, died July 10th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in Westfield, MA. He just celebrated his 80th birthday with his immediate family. He was born in Westfield, MA to Clarence and Estelle (Grace) Blood. He attended Westfield school systems. He was a man of many talents. He worked at Old Colony Envelope as a supervisor; he was in partnership with Paul Blood at P & R Blood, a cemetery lettering and monument business. He also owned his own carpentry business and finished his working career at New England Sign Company.

He married and left behind his beloved wife Brenda L. (Wyman) Blood whom he married in the White Church of Blandford on June 13, 1964. They lived in the home they built with the help of family and friends where Brenda still resides. They celebrated 58 years of marriage this year. He also left behind his devoted daughters and their spouses, Kim Blanchette and her husband Mark, Bonnie Lemme and her husband Scott, and Mandy LaBrecque and her husband Aaron. He also leaves his 8 endearing grandchildren and their spouses, who called him “Pacca,” Jacob Lemme and his wife Michelle, Kyle Blanchette, Evan Blanchette and his wife Sydney, Alyssa Lemme, Cameron LaBrecque and his wife Mary, Anna Lemme, Madison LaBrecque and Samuel LaBrecque. He was able to meet his first great-granddaughter Olive LaBrecque.

He precedes his siblings Joan Reynolds, Ronald Blood, Gail Parigin, Frank Blood and follows his deceased brother Richard Blood who was two years old.

He also leaves many other family members who loved him dearly. Those who knew and loved him, knew he loved to play golf and spend time with family. Funeral to be held Friday, July 15 at 10:00 am. at the White Church of Blandford, MA. Burial to follow the service across the street at the Blandford Cemetery.
