SOUTHWICK – While many local high school seniors celebrated graduations late last week, several Southwick Regional High School student-athletes stepped up to have a celebration of their own.
The Southwick boys volleyball, softball, and baseball teams each enjoyed resounding victories Friday.
SOFTBALL
Hough leads Rams past Golden Eagles
Southwick 14, Central 3
Sarah Hough scattered five hits over seven innings and struck out 13 batters in a solid outing on the mound for Southwick. Hough provided some of the offensive spark as well. She went 4-for-5 with a double and four RBIs.
Rams Kayla Andrade went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and two RBIs.

Southwick’s Jacob Garrity went a perfect 3-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and four runs scored. Leighton Billings (1-for-3, 2 RBIs) and Nate Goodwin (1-for-3, 2 RBIs) also provided some offense for the Rams.
Southwick pitcher Ari Labrecque tossed a five-inning, two-hitter, striking out 10 batters. Labrecque also helped out at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one RBI and two runs.

Rylan Secovich (9 kills, 7 digs), Adam Smith (6 kills, 3 aces, 2 blocks), Grayson Poole (1 kill, 21 assists, 4 aces, 1 dig, 1 block), Mason Imbriglio (1 assist, 7 digs), and Jace Turgeon (3 kills, 1 assist, 2 aces, 1 dig, 3 blocks) paved the way for the latest Southwick victory.
