Richard N. Tetrault

WESTFIELD; flag Richard Norman Tetrault, 83, (1932 – 2016) of Westfield, passed away on Saturday March 12, 2016 at Noble Hospital in Westfield. Born in Springfield, MA to the late Lawrence and Louise (Bushey) Tetrault, he was a longtime area resident. Richard served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and dedicated his career to working with Smith and Wesson as a hard fitter gunsmith. Most recently he worked as a bagger at the Big Y in Ludlow. In earlier years, Richard was a member of the Elks and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Norma (Bluteau) Tetrault of Westfield; his son, Robert Tetrault and his wife Ramona of Southwick; his brother, Dennis Tetrault and his wife Claire of Belchertown; his sister, Joyce Prindle of Northampton and by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Everett Tetrault and his wife Natalie and his sister, Theresa Perruse and her husband Henry.

Family and friends are invited to meet for Richard’s Funeral Mass on Thursday March 17th at 9:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St. in Westfield followed by a committal service with Military Honors at 11:00 AM in the chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
