Romano Massoni

WESTFIELD – Romano Massoni, 63, died Saturday, October 13th, 2018 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Westfield on December 18, 1954. He grew up in Southwick and attended local schools. He was a truck driver and construction worker for various construction companies. He owned and operated his own truck for a few years before working at Western Mass Rendering Co. as truck driver and maintenance for 15 years retiring in 2016. He was a member of Mont Moriah Lodge of Masons in Westfield. He loved spending time camping with his family and was a member of the Bonnie Rig Camping Club. Mono was always willing to lend a helping hand and was there for anyone who needed him, he could build, fix or Jimmy rig anything. His joy in life was hanging out and goofing around with his daughter Becky and his grandkids. He also enjoyed spending time with Becky and their Special Olympics family.  He leaves his wife of 41 years Anmarie (Bonyeau) Massoni, his children Carrie Massoni and her partner Jason Osella of Westfield, Rebecca Massoni of Westfield, his grandchildren Cassidy, Lucas and Brady. He also leaves his mother Ruth Furlani of Westfield, mother in-law Rose Bonyeau of Southwick, his brothers David Massoni, Scott Massoni and partner Patty all of Southwick, his sister Carrie Clendenin and her partner Pat O’Brien of Westfield, several aunts, uncles, cousins and brother-in-laws. He was pre-deceased by his father Louis Massoni and his son Jeffrey L. Massoni. Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 18th at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield from 4-7 pm. The funeral will be held on Friday at 9 am from the funeral home and a funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
