Arona shuts out competition

WESTFIELD – The Westfield High School girls soccer team is off to a 12-1-1 start.
Last week, the Westfield Bombers posted two shutouts behind a strong effort from their goalie, Adrianna Arona, who finished with a combined 17 saves over the course of four halves.
Arona was named The Westfield News MVP Tuesday as determined by Facebook poll.
Arona joins this season’s other MVPs: Jack Hogan (Week 5), Dakotah Moynihan (Week 4), Mike Nihill (Week 3), Chloe Lussier (Week 2), and Chandler Pedolzky (Week 1).
