HUNTINGTON – The Pittsfield area band “Shut Up and Dance” brought its blend of Southern Rock and Blues to the Huntington town square on Thursday. About 100 folks gathered on lawn chairs and enjoyed the show, and despite some threatening drips of rain from the dense cloud cover overhead, the performance went off without a hitch.

This week’s bake sale raised funds for the Western Mass Hilltown Hikers with goodies prepared by founder Elizabeth Massa of Chester, who also sold t-shirts and gave out free stickers and trail head maps.

Next Thursday, July 25, children’s performer Jon O’Neill the one-man band will play from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with bake sale proceeds going to the Hilltown Family Center.
