SOUTHWICK – The Southwick U13 boys’ team won the Pioneer Valley Youth Soccer League (PVJSL) Division 1 title for the second season in a row.
The team first won the league title in the fall of 2012, and completed the spring season with 12-1-2 record, scoring 68 goals while allowing just 16, which provided a 6-point lead over the second place team from Ludlow.
As league champions, Southwick won the right to represent the PVJSL in the state championships played June 28-30 in Lancaster where they competed in the U14 Division 2 section.
At states, their record was 2-1. They were awarded Best Sportsmanship Award for the section.
