SOUTHWICK – The Town of Southwick Special Town Meeting scheduled for March 23 was postponed until March 24 at 6 p.m. to be held in the East Parking Lot of the Southwick Regional School.
Other than date and time, previously released guidance regarding social distancing protocol and who should attend remains in effect.
Any voter with any indication of respiratory illness (fever, cough, or shortness of breath), high risk medical condition and/or recent exposure to the COVID-19 virus should not attend.
Those who choose to attend must implement social distancing, doing their best to stay 6 feet away from other attendees.
Under my power to postpone until a time certain, please note that the start time will be 30 minutes earlier at 6 pm.
A town-wide automated phone call will go out as soon as practical this afternoon. Please feel free to share this information with anyone you think might have planned to attend this Special Town Meeting.
Town Moderator James Putnam stated that he is “postponing this Meeting under the authority granted by Massachusetts General Laws, Part I, Title VII, Chapter 39, Subsection 10A. A copy of my Declaration of Recess and Continuance will be posted on https://www.southwickma.org/ under Public Notices.”
